I am sure it will melt your heart somewhere….

‘Lovaglio’ the UK based company has recently launched the first exclusively luxurious million dollar laptop you could ever imagine. Ok…before you lose patience let me tell you what is so exclusive about it. It has a very rare coloured diamond piece of jewellery which doubles up as the power button when placed into the laptop and also acts as security identification. You can create your own style statement possessing a laptop which has diamond with functionality.

Not only this, the laptop has all required features with an aesthetically appealing look. It incorporates a 17" widescreen LED backlit screen, 128GB SSD and a slot loading Blue-Ray drive. There is an integrated screen cleaning device also. To get more technical info you need to wait a little bit.

Luvaglio CEO Rohan Sinclair Luvaglio told “Unlike many of the highly priced products being released, we took our time to develop something out of the ordinary with real attention to detail. I didn't want to simply re-house a laptop into a diamond studded casing, or diamond encrusts the entire thing simply to make it expensive. We've put thought in from the keyboard down to the power charger. We have used diamonds elsewhere but have given them purpose.”

There are various definitions of luxury but I believe the true element of luxury is having something that represents “YOU”- something that money can't always buy. The interesting fact about this is that the buyer can design their own laptops and have them customised by visiting the exclusive Lovaglio showrooms where you can select the materials, finishes and accessories which will be available to view. Colours and finishes can be done on request. They have access to diamonds that are simply rare and near impossible to get hold of, so are able to offer a very embodied choice. The first such masterpiece will be priced for more than US$1,000,000.

Trust me guys, you can’t go wrong with it. Make it your choice and design your own Lovaglio laptops suitable to your personal style statement.

ANDROID OS 17500

Samsung, the leading mobile phone provider always believes in inventing something unique so taking its trend ahead ,the company launched its first phone running Google's Android OS ‘17500’ at Seoul on Apr 27th therefore becoming the first of the top three handset manufacturers to release an Android powered cutting edge smartphone.

It’s not even a car accessory. In fact it’s about an infinite light year away from anything gotta do with automobiles. What then, is the Porsche P’9521, Hold your breath ladies and gentlemen….. cos it’s a PHONE!!!

The German stalwart in design and creativity, Porsche Design Group and the French-based Sagem Mobiles (Safran Group) presented the first Porsche Design Mobile Phone, the P'9521, at the Porsche Centre Mumbai. The P'9521 was unveiled at the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore. The first photos had revealed a squarish flip-phone design, integrated camera, and multimedia player.

Arbaaz Khan, Upen Patel & Kim Sharma were the first to be gifted the Porsche Design Mobile phone P'9521.

The new mobile phone combines state of the art, purist design with high-quality natural materials such as aluminum and mineral glass. Crafted out of sturdy aluminum and mineral glass, the Porsche P'9521 isn't for the faint hearted, weighing 137g and measuring a somewhat chunky 47mm wide, 90mm tall and 18mm deep.

Inside, this phone packs enough features to scare off any other car-inspired phones -- including a fingerprint reader, which doubles up as touch-sensitive scroll interface for navigating through the menu or your pictures.

On its derriere, the Porsche P'9521 sports a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus and dual LED photo lights. You can spin the P'9521's screen to a whole 180 degrees as you would with a tablet laptop and use the larger main screen as a viewfinder.

Another noteworthy feature is the built-in accelerometer, which lets the phone know which way you're holding it up and changes pictures from portrait to landscape mode automatically, while they reorient themselves so that they are always appearing straight side up to you. Quite similar to the iPhone.

Added accessories include a headphone adaptor to listen to music or make hands-free calls. There's also a 2GB microSD card to house all those pictures you kept finding space for.

Impressive for sure, but comes with a whole-in-the-pocket price. For the handset alone, you'll have to flush out £800 or 77,000/- INR. The official distributor for the P'9521 in India is Pratam Telecom.

AB’s baby seemed in a uber cool mode, tirelessly extolling his endorsement, “I have been using Motorola for quite a long time now. The recent ROKR E8 has wonderful features. It not only delivers an uncompromised consumer experience for music or talking, but it also has sharp and accurate camera clicks and audio features. There are no buttons. You press the centre button and the key appears or disappears. The rewind and the reshuffle are ultra quick to respond. It is much easier to scroll. The songs list can be moved fast and faster. The most important feature of this Motorola is that it has an inbuilt capacity to house almost 350 songs!” we literally had to interrupt him.

By now one thing was sure, Bachchan Junior had sure done his homework on the product knowledge! Not that any of what he said was untrue for made from using the state of the art ModeShift technology from Motorola, the quad-band GPRS/EDGE device presents users with only the controls they need, at the time they need them, instantly transforming from music player to phone to imaging device with the touch of a button. A perfect blend of art and science, the face of the E8 is a sleek, seamless panel that features the first haptic touch pad from Motorola, which provides vibrating, tactile feedback when the user touches virtual buttons.

You have your mass market, which is the largest segment. It's what most people have. Then you have your tech market with devices like the HTC Diamond and iPhone. This class tends to innovate and push technology forward. Finally, you have your luxe class, such as the case with the new Dior Black Diamond phone.

The French fashion house Christian Dior will unveil a line of diamond mobile phones -- priced from €3,500, or $5,000, and up. The Dior Black Diamond Phone is a super luxury edition of their new handset, which is embedded with diamonds on the phone’s hinge and circular dial inside. It will also be available in a variety of colours.

While both the contingents serve as an essential fashion vitamin, gadgets do have the upper hand in lieu of the lucrative asset adhered with them. There is no debate about the fact that a slick, state of the art gizmo, not only simplifies the task it is designed for, but also adds to the fashion quotient you need, to set, bet or get that goal in your life!

So all you tech savvy men, if you thought fashion and lifestyle essentials were confined to the realms of the fairer sex, here is a strong reminder that says ‘Yes, you exist!’ Read on to live-life-tech-side, and make an everlasting impression on whomsoever you please;

The iPhone changed the way we think about how mobile media devices should look, feel and perform. The design is exceptional inside and out: It's got a slick glass-and-stainless steel case and an elegant touch screen loaded with eye candy. It's an iPod and a 2-megapixel camera. Images and video clips display vertically or horizontally — they reorient themselves depending on how you hold the thing. When the phone detects a wireless network within range — your own home wi-fi set up or somebody else's — it lets you tap once to connect, and then proceed with your Web surfing, Google mapping, emailing and other activities that can otherwise be painfully slow over AT&T's cellular network — the only one, unfortunately, that carries iPhone calls.

With multi touch screen features the revolutionary technology now comes with its software unlocked, the iPhone is every man’s dream come true. A recent survey testified that 13% of men would be willing to swap their better halves for this tech-loaded babe, reason no.1001 to buy one now!!!

"Many customers regard the PDA-phone as a business tool," says Mark Billington, CEO of O2 Asia Pacific and Middle East. "We certainly put a dent in that fallacy when we launched the Xda II mini, demonstrating that PDA-phones can be beautiful with lifestyle applications, and then cracked it further when we launched the Xda Atom. Today, we want to kick the door wide open with the Xda Atom Life and open up the converged device market to more customers by demonstrating that PDA-phones can seamlessly fusing work and play; and meet your connectivity, productivity or creativity needs, in one compact unit."

A handsome device in a suit of shiny black amour, accented by a chrome band, the Xda Atom Life weighs only 145 grams; it is designed to be a multimedia-centric device for personal entertainment; from the O2 MediaPlus interface, you can read comic strips, watch manga clips or go trigger-happy with the 2.0 mega pixel camera with macro focus. Else, switch on your MP3 collection or check out the latest chart rankings with the Xda Atom Life's FM radio tuner with RDS function. What's a multimedia marvel without superfast connectivity, you say? HSDPA and 3.5G-enabled, the Xda Atom Life lets you make video calls, add music podcasts to your library, watch clips on YouTube or stream sports clips. Built-in Bluetooth® and Wireless LAN ensure connectivity options.

The device also comes with a 1GB of onboard memory to store MP3s, videos files, ringtones and games. The Xda Atom Life is also packed with a turbocharged Intel XScale® PXA 270 processor that clocks in at 624MHz, making it the fastest PDA-phone on the Windows Mobile platform. You can stay connected to your Microsoft Office Outlook mobile information everywhere you go. Familiar applications like calendar, contacts, and inbox are kept up to up-to-date using ActiveSync and Direct Push Technology for email. PRICE: Rs. 45, 900. OUR OPINION: This is one gizmo that is compact and convenient. Now you can have a phone, PDA and mp3 device, all in one. With the O2 stereo Bluetooth wireless headset, it makes life easier for music lovers; you can listen to music in the gym or at work without the device on your body. "Not everyone used to be able to master and enjoy the many experiences that a multimedia handset could offer, but with the Motorokr E6 all this has changed", says Malcolm Dawe, Vice President and General Manager, Motorola India Mobile Devices.

"The E6 has been designed to create superior experiences around video, music, games, and photographs. Whether you want to capture special moments, listen to music, play games or movies, or check your e-mail, the E6 makes it all simple". Motorokr E6 is the first Motorola handset in India to offer Music ID and Screen 3 applications. Music ID is a Song Identification service that enables a user to identify the artist and album information of songs being played in the immediate surroundings. Screen 3 is a live news and information streaming service.

It can stream live feeds into a handset and you have the option to get brief information or full stories. Motorokr E6 provides a balance in portable entertainment and business efficiency. "The new Motorokr handset offers you a mobile multimedia experience in a stylish device that lets you create, enjoy and share your music, videos, photos and games, while managing your work and your life," said brand ambassador Abhishek Bachchan. STYLEKANDY VERDICT: Though nothing revolutionary, the dedicated music keys, expandable memory, movie watching and moviemaking capabilities plus essential business tools like Business Card Reader, POP 3 e-mail, document viewer to view Microsoft Word, Excel, etc., and PIM make Motorokr E6 an attractive device for business users and consumers alike. If you have a PC or laptop, you can use this handset as a webcam or pen drive.

More than one in three adults who go online own a video game console and 16 per cent own a portable gaming device, Nielsen/NetRatings said today. The majority of those console owners, 71 per cent, are married, and 66 per cent have at least one child in the household. Here's a brief look at the phenomena with Rajat Raina, supermodel and self–confessed gamer. "Gaming is very involved whether it is a sport, action or strategy game, and most people take them seriously. The games have evolved, particularly the play stations. So it is almost like handling a gadget. The games themselves are like interactive movies. It is better than watching a film in the same time span though you are more involved. And it improves your hand and eye coordination too," says Rajat. When the sight of a flesh-eating zombie gorging on his latest victim is the most entertaining aspect of a game, I begin to wonder if the virtual world of gaming has not gone too far over the edge. "I am currently playing Gears of War; it is an action game … a first person shooter game … and the best thing about it is it can be played as a multiplayer game, and it is stress relieving," he grins. I have a burning question, which I just have to ask Rajat: X-Box or Playstation 3? "I would recommend the X-Box 360; the graphics are ten times better then the older version, and keeping in mind the price, it is great. The Sony Playstation 3 has not caught on perhaps because they were a bit slow in the launch." According to him, the hottest games on the shelves right now are FIFA and NBA in the sports section; Gears of War in the action zone; Need for Speed- Carbon and Fight Night in the combat zone. Are there any new games in the market that gamers should look forward to, I persist? "I am eagerly waiting for Halo 3, the X-Box series. Halo 1 and 2 were the highest selling games in the X-Box series. The previews look fantastic and I cannot wait to play it," he enthused.

MORE THAN A WATCH!

While some people might consider luxury watches an extravagance, but for many, luxury designer watches are a perfect way to show off. If you love to spend your hard-earned money on luxury designer watches, here are some of the world’s most expensive watches, which you would like to add to your luxury watch collection. The most expensive watches don't just tell the time--they tell the world that you care enough to fetishize the very best.

Chopard

The world’s most expensive watch, nonetheless you can count it as one of the ugliest too. As if beauty was money-measurable! Anyway, what this ugly-most-expensive Chopard is made of: three heart-shaped diamonds (the white, pink and blue one we can easily spot on the surface or whatever that yellow-transparent thing is): the pink one is a 15 carats, the blue one is a 12 carats and the white is 11 carats worth. A bracelet, enriched with 163k of yellow and white diamonds put together as flowers. You can own this little doohickey in $25 million.

Corum

The shimmering wristwatch is adorned with 850 diamonds and boasts a dazzling skeleton dial with Skeleton hour and minute hands. Corum and La Joux-Perret have manually wound the watch with 90-hour power reserve and features Caliber CO-372. Rightly named so, the Billionaire Tourbillion comes in many versions with price ranging from $325,000 to $998,000. So, you have made up your mind to get one on your wrist but, hurry as there are only 10 pieces in production. Priced at Rs 13,000,000 to 39,920,000

Parmigiani Fleurier Tecnica Skeleton Chronograph

This watch has been credited as one of the most expensive watch in the world. Only three has been made. Each piece incorporates a platinum case and complications that include a minute repeater, tourbillon and chronograph, as well as a cathedral chime with which you can ring in. Price at Rs 42,00,000

Harry Winston Excenter Perpetual Calendar

After its first design makeover since its introduction in 1989, the new Excenter Perpetual Calendar retains all of the elements that, for the past 18 years, have garnered Harry Winston timepieces the same level of acclaim as that of its jewelry. The iconic three-arch watchcase, crafted in white gold, is sleeker and slightly larger at 41mm, and the trademark Excenter dial is more streamlined and clear. No special stylus is required to set the date and month; one need only unscrew the button located at the 8 o’clock position and press down. The lightly engine-turned anthracite or silvered dial creates a moiré. Priced at Rs.24,50,000

TAG Heuer SLR for Mercedes-Benz

To celebrate the launch of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren super sports car, TAG Heuer and Mercedes-Benz have combined forces and know how to produce a stunning commemorative timepiece exclusively for Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren car owners. The SLR Chronograph by TAG Heuer, like the high-performance, 200-mph, ultra-luxury sports car that inspired it, is an audacious creation, at the avant-garde of high technology and design, yet with the look and allure of a true classic. The SLR chronograph combines a unique mechanical movement together with a daring inspiring design. Priced at Rs 11,44,000

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Squadra Hometime

The Reverso Squadra Hometime Black in its steel case features the perfectly intelligibility one expects from the ideal travel watch. It precludes any confusion by being equipped with the exclusive Hometime/Travel time system, developed and patented by Jaeger-LeCoultre. Driven by the mechanical Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 977 movement, the Reverso Squadra Hometime Black features a number of technical innovations reinforcing its ruggedness and reliability. The Reverso Squadra Hometime Black thus plays its way across time zones and continents, travelling the world in step with polo seasons and competitions: from Argentina and summer in the southern hemisphere, to hard-fought matches on the playing fields of England. Priced at Rs 7,65,400

GAUTAM BHIRANI

"Gadgets! Gadgets! Gadgets! I have always been a gadget freak. When I was young, I used to get excited when I got fancy toys on my birthdays. One of the coolest toys I ever got was a remote-controlled Ferrari which had four gears and was huge. My aunt got it from the US; its still in my cupboard and it does work!

Then came video games; the first one I got after a lot of cribbing was Samurai by Nintendo, and it still works. My second was Nintendo 64; since, technology changed and good graphics came in the market. Now of course the market is flooded with Playstation2 and XBOX. My eyes are set on XBOX 360 and I will be buying it soon! It is priced at app. Rs. 26,000 but I will buy it on monthly installments; that is how I buy my gadgets: its easier and smarter.

Well, I have some friends who are married and settled in Mumbai; when I shifted there and started spending time with her four-year-old son, I was amazed at the kind of toys he has; it just freaked me out and I spent hours playing with them. Right from electronic motorbikes with fancy helmets to electric cars worth Rs. 15000, he had them all. I thought of the toys I had when I was a kid and compared my little Tobu Cycle with his fabulous black bike with alloy wheels, and was speechless. Technology has changed so much!

There are certain things that have become a necessity for me, particularly my mobile phones which are very basic. I bought expensive phones earlier and lost them or they got spoiled, so I stopped spending on them; I'm using a Nokia 8250 which was my standby phone but has never given me a problem till date, and also a basic Motorola handset. My friends and sisters keep asking me to change my handsets but till the time they are solving my purpose of making calls and answering them, its all good. For me, phones should be simple; I have seen fancy phones getting spoiled as there are so many features in them. By the end of it, the handsets start to hang. For taking pictures, I have a digital camera by Kodak! These days, phones come with music players but I prefer an Ipod. I am using my sisters' 4GB Ipod these days but will buy one soon. I also use a Palmtop by Sharp occasionally.

Lastly, I am a games freak! I spend hours playing games on my computer. I have a good collection but these days I've been gaming online. There are some gaming sites which I am addicted to like www.puffgames.com and www.stickcricket.com; they have the best graphics online. You know, women say men and gadgets go hand in hand; I agree with that but not completely! I've seen women with really fancy gadgets, right from pink phones to Ipods! But with such advanced technology in the market it is easy to get tempted. To be honest, I get tempted very easily … and the installments scheme has been very helpful."

LUXURY PROCURES

Men are not obsessed with fashion, at least not to the extent that women are. Men have more important things in life to worry about than the latest fashion trends. However, even they have few things to demonstrate their fashion sense.

Ambierod:

India's most expensive car Priced at Rs. 40 million, Dilip Chabria’s 'Ambierod' is a cross between the legendary Indian Ambassador car and Ford’s hot rods of yesteryear. India’s most expensive car has three LCD screens, 180 degree reclining seats, internet and video conferencing abilities and a satellite map to see where you are going, the Ambierod is nothing short of pure luxury.

Audi R8

A lot of ink—some of it virtual—has been spilled on Audi's new super coupe. Guess what? The car deserves it. With its 420-hp, V8 engine, rapid-fire R-tronic transmission, and track-tuned suspension, the R8 does exactly what it sets out to: Scare the hell out of the dudes at Porsche. (It may well do the same for your passenger as you go from 0 to 100 in ten seconds flat.) Better yet, the typically elegant, ergonomic Audi interior provides a serene counterpoint to the blur outside the window.

Apple Mc Book Air

Apple just announced the .16-inch thin MacBook Air -- a laptop so thin it fits in a mail an envelope. The new machine features a full-size keyboard and LED-backlit 13.3-inch display with built-in iSight, and the new larger trackpad supports multi-touch gestures. Just like the iPhone, you will be able to pan around, pinch to zoom, and rotate with two fingers, and move windows with a flick. The Air eschews optical media and Apple's also announced a feature called Remote Disk that'll let the Air get data off the optical drive in any PC or Mac running the Remote Disk software.

GoldVish “Le Million”

A PR stunt it may be, and they surely cannot be expecting to sell any, but the Goldvish “Le million” is officially the most expensive mobile phone in the world, according the Guiness Books of Records. There has even been talk of a $1.3million phone, but this has fewer diamonds than the Goldvish so one cannot see where the extra expense comes from! The “Le million” is a one off, featuring a blinding 120 carats worth of VVS-1 grade diamonds, according to designer Emmanuel Gueit. The Geneva-based Goldvish also offer several other diamond-encrusted 18k gold models in your choice of rose, yellow, or white.

Mobiado Professional EM (wood)

The Mobiado Professional EM, is a wood-clad upgrade of their earlier Nokia-based phone that includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, music player, FM radio, Bluetooth, and according to Mobiado it’s the first production phone with Titanium buttons. Only 200 are being made and each one has its limited number engraved on the back.

Sony Handycam HDR-CX7

Sony’s designers definitely made the most of the fact that the HDR-CX7 records its video to Memory Stick Pro Duo cards. The camcorder is little more than a lens and LCD screen in terms of size, though that is both a positive and negative thing. Sure, you can fit the CX7 into almost any bag, and even a large jacket or sweatshirt pocket, but the ergonomics of the grip are a little off.

Ipod Touch

The new flagship iPod has "the same size screen as the iPhone, but it's even thinner" (eight-millimeters, for those taking notes), and it touts the "same multi-touch interface" found on the firm's handset. Additionally, it boasts a 3.5-inch widescreen display, the ability to "flick through your photos," and you even get the "slide to unlock" feature, too. Of note, the built-in wireless antenna is not exactly attractive, but if it means that we can surf the web and buy tunes on our iPod, we suppose it may be an acceptable flaw.

Here is a selection of hot luxury buys that you might be interested in. However, we all know that luxury does not come handy it comes with a heavy price tag. If you can afford it, you can have it. So, just see what you can afford?

BLING MY THING

BERLIN: In Hollywood, there's one addiction that doesn't require a stint at a rehab. You don't snort it, you don't swallow it—you just speak into it. "I can't live without it," Paris Hilton says. Bruce Willis feels the same way. "I'm so addicted," is his take. What is this nontoxic obsession? "Bling My Thing".
